EGGS, EGGS & EGGS

Mother's Day 2010

For those who love eggs like me, Hatched is the place to be. Choose which egg-mix you prefer from the menu, I am sure there's one perfect for you as the menu offers a good variety of dishes.

It was sad that we could not order from the regular menu at that time as they were only serving from the board menu for Mother's Day.  But in anycase, we were very satisfied with our food.  Definitely going back for the regular menu... the Omelette seems really interesting.

Hot Chocolate

Egg mayo with ham on English Muffin

Scrambled Eggs, Mushrooms, Tomatoes

I know it looks simple... but again, for people who enjoy eggs with every meal like me - HEAVEN.

Friday Night At Home

Decided to cook but ended up spending more time taking photos than the actual cooking and eating combined.  Was trying out the HDR function of the latest OS4.1 - -

The Chimp & The Ring

Logged: September 3, 2010. Hongkong

Once a upon a time, about 1389 nautical miles from Singapore the Chimp got...

Disguised as a surprise advance 30th birthday celebration on the 29th floor of One Peking Road - the Aqua Roma, Aqua Tokyo, Aqua Spirit - the night seems just as per what it was intended for.

Enjoying the uninterrupted view of the Hongkong harbour, the menu was served.

Noticeably the ambiance was both snobbish and cozy, everyone well dressed and the guests - no walk-ins, only by reservations.

The food came and the night carried on...

Bread basket and some cocktails to start...

Black Angus tenderloin, foie gras,
spinach and sweet & sour pearl onions

Veal fillet served with potatoes, asparagus,
carrots and marinated baby onions

As the night past and dinner was over... just right when you think it's about time to head back, another surprise came...

" I actually have a gift for you... it's inside my bag..." The guy uttered.

More words were uttered before he could reach for the book... and with the book & the ring, the chimp was surprised.

(cutting the story short; leaving the cheesy bit out...)

In the end the Chimp accepted the proposal and wore the ring. It was also during this time that the Chimp was too excited that she forgot to take photos - of the book and the ring - on location.

And so, this morning, almost a week has past, the Chimp decided to take some photos for documentation.

Half of the book was reserved for

The Marmalade Pantry

While many were crowding the streets around where the 2010 National Day Parade (Singapore) was being held...I was actually relaxing at a nearby cafe enjoying my early dinner.

Had decided to have a quiet dinner at The Marmalade Pantry.

The Cafe Fables and Bar Stories

Yesterday, we decided to walk the streets of Haji Lane. Wasn't such a bad idea hadn't it been 34°C outside.

We chanced upon Cafe Fables and Bar Stories - the first floor sells furniture while the second floor mainly functions as a cafe although there are certain sections that you get to enjoy both (furniture + coffee). Most of the furniture used to decor the cafe are also for sale.

And so we ordered a Hazelnut Latte, Rose Iced Tea & a Sweet Potato with Hazelnut Gelato - all recommended by the bar guy. The cozy ambiance, the aircon plus the drinks made it really hard to leave, and so we played and goofed around...with the camera.

Prague & Kutna Hora

2 Types of Exercise I Do While Traveling - Eating & Walking.

I have realised that eating & walking must be done together during the duration of your holiday to prevent depression. Neither you can walk the whole day without eating (else, you'll collapse), nor eat whole day without walking(else, you'll look like dumbo). Either way you end up being depressed. Although, I know I can still cut down on the eating part.

Dining: Castle Style

The Witchery by the Castle. Edinburgh. Scotland.

I have been hearing about The Witchery from Hanna, ever since the day we arrived Edinburgh. And so, reservations were made and then we went...one dinner time.

The ambiance & food was nothing less than how she described it to us.  Just the thought alone - that I am actually having dinner inside a castle -  is enough to be impressed that night. Another good thing that happened, which is none whatsoever related to food was ... I discovered the Naran Ji soothing hand lotion by Molton Brown in the girls toilet.  I love the scent.  Dang! they are selling it here in SG for 2x the price. Woot!?

Back to serious. Pics and food pics!
