SG: Feeling a little French?

Sometimes being spontaneous is good. I had no plans of doing whatsoever last night, probably just grab something on my way home and have a quiet evening by myself.... So that was the plan, until something miraculously happened due to my persuasive nature - which I admit can be sometimes annoying. :P

Scrambling for some last minute plans, I remembered that I have been wanting to check out this French Resto in town - The French Stall.

The French Stall is situated in a non-aiconditioned shophouse in the middle of Little India. Nothing really fancy about the interior and exterior décor, but you are in for a surprised to see that this place is easily filled with French expats and locals alike. The house was filled with 3/4 French diners last night - never have I seen this many French people in one place, in a given time here in Singapore.

So we had...please pardon the quality of my photos, this is the result of LX-3 left at home and the poor camera quality of the 3gs. Some turned out so bad that it can't even be Photoshop-ed. Sad. :(

Grilled Lamb Chop with Pan Fried Marinated Eggplant
Côte D'Agneau Grillé, son Aubergines Marinée et Sautee

Pork Loin "Cordon Bleu" with Mushroom Sauce
Escalope de Porc "Cordon Bleu", sauce Forestière

"Guanaja" Chocolate Soufflé
Soufflé au Chocolat "Guanaja"

Food was absolutely amazing, taste was really authentic, dessert was fantabulous and to top it all, the menu - reasonably priced. The only downside - not airconditioned. Oh well this may be the reason why they only open during dinner time.

* Ordered some appetizers... but no photos. :(
